Sunbelt Rentals acquires Hybrid Power Hire (HPH) rental business and assets as part of an ongoing investment strategy to develop market leading clean energy solutions.
The acquisition will see Sunbelt Rentals’ fleet of large-scale battery storage units (20kva to 60kva) increase to over 750 units, along with additional specialist facilities and an industry leading team of energy experts.
This investment will allow Sunbelt Rentals to service the increasing customer demand for clean energy solutions which is being driven by spiralling fuel costs, the removal of government tax relief on diesel and companies striving to meet their carbon footprint targets.
Andy Wright, CEO of Sunbelt Rentals, said: “Over the last 12 months we have invested over £100 million into new greener rental products and services. This has included, Stage V plant and machinery, battery and solar lighting, battery tools and electric plant and machinery.
“This acquisition represents the next stage of our journey to be the rental supplier of choice for clean energy products, solutions and services to our customers.
“As a business we are committed to reducing our carbon intensity by 35% by 2030 and through our ‘Our Planet’ strategy we aim to leave a legacy for future generations. This is demonstrated in the work we are doing to reduce our carbon impact and reinvest in the environment and communities where we work.
“Importantly for our customers, in addition to renting the most effective solutions, we can now also provide them with cutting edge data, technology and information that will allow them to see and appreciate the changes made by renting a greener solution from both a fuel, emissions and cost perspective.”
This is another exciting step on the Sunbelt Rentals Greener Solutions journey.
