When A&V Squires Plant Co Ltd were looking to replace some of their incumbent 3.5 tonne tippers that are working as part of their civil gangs, the Nottinghamshire-based company decided to switch to the Isuzu marque for the first time. This switch in preference results from them looking to benefit from the greater payload potential that is available to them as a result of running 3.5 tonne Isuzu Grafters.
Initially, A&V Squires have purchased two 3.5 tonne Isuzu Grafter N35.125 tippers that are now carrying all the relevant building materials, such as tarmac and gravel, needed to support working as part of a self-sufficient two-vehicle civils gang.
“For us, actual payload is critical these days for our civils gangs as they need to operate as efficiently as possible. We were aware of the Isuzu reputation for class leading carrying capacity so we took the decision to order our first two Isuzu Grafters. Needless to say, we were also impressed by the fact they were supplied with a full three year warranty for peace of mind,” said George Healey, civils project manager at A&V Squires Plant Co Ltd.
Supplied by local Isuzu Truck dealer t.i.m Commercials in Ilkeston, the two new Isuzu Grafter tippers are expected to cover approximately 20,000 miles per annum over a five year life working in the A&V Squires fleet, up to a maximum of 100,000 miles.
As George Healey says, “The performance of the Grafters so far has been absolutely excellent. We are extremely happy with these two new additions to our fleet and they carry the raw material weight really easily, as well as impressing our drivers with their on-the-road flexibility.”
A&V Squires Plant Co Ltd are one of the East Midland’s leading plant hire, civil engineering and contract earth moving companies, providing high-quality, efficient and reliable construction services to customers throughout Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, and Leicestershire.
“It’s a great pleasure to be able to introduce the Isuzu Grafters into such a well-established company as A&V Squires, and once again their proven reputation for industry leading payload and reliability has been an integral factor behind the Southwell company switching to Isuzu for the very first time,” said Tony Long, network business manager at Isuzu Truck UK.
