Pump Power Rental reinvests in Atlas Copco generators and dewatering pumps

Pump Power Rental, the complete pump and power solution provider, are expanding their fleet with products from Atlas Copco Power Technique’s portfolio. The initial purchase of a substantial number of QES professional rental specification generating sets has been followed by a further significant investment in diesel and submersible dewatering pumps.

David Berry, Managing Director at Pump Power Rental comments; “Pump Power offer a UK-wide generator and pump rental service, and we have facilitated this by selecting Atlas Copco as our supplier. Our decision was based on our recognition of Atlas Copco as a trusted global brand. In particular, we have chosen products from their QES range of generators and PAS range of pumps, as these are generally accepted as the premier brand available in the UK rental market today.”

Atlas Copco’s QES range of generators, designed with the customer in mind, is easy to move, operate and service. It fulfils Pump Power’s ambition of providing general construction and rental users with a practical and trusted power solution for the toughest worksites.

The QES range has been designed and tested to ensure resilience against even the harshest weather; an important factor as Pump Power Rental delivers to all areas of the UK, all year round. The generators’ high rental specification includes a Deepsea control panel, galvanised skid base, and a three-way fuel valve. They are powered by the latest EU stage 3A diesel engines and are fitted with sound attenuated, rugged galvanised steel enclosures to provide noise protection.

These sets are ultra-compact with slots and beams for easy lifting, simplifying truck loading and storage, and making them a perfect choice for any rental application. Another key design element is ease of operation, giving the generator plug-and-power capability and allowing smooth start-up. They can be brought on line in just two clicks; they deliver stable power within 10 seconds of start-up and can withstand a 100% load step. They can then run continuously for up to 500 hours before requiring a two-hour service interval. This reliable, continuous operation is complemented by Pump Power’s 24-hour service support facility.

“The QES generators’ ease of set-up and use, compact form factor and reliable operation in all weathers resonates well with Pump Power’s service ethic.” David Berry said, “We pride ourselves on exceptional customer support, driven by a management team with decades of technical knowledge and experience in the rental industry. We are easy to deal with, and truly believe in looking after our customers at all costs. We are aware that many suppliers claim to offer great service, but our users will attest to the fact that we really do deliver.”

Paul Webster, Product Specialist – Generators, at Atlas Copco Power Technique in the UK, comments: “We are delighted to win multiple orders from Pump Power Rental, and support their expansion plans for the UK’s generator hire market.”

Pump Power Rental have also made a solid investment in Atlas Copco dewatering pumps, with purchases of both PAS diesel centrifugal pumps, and WEDA electric submersible pumps. The second generation PAS units that have joined the fleet consist of a centrifugal pump and SuperDuo separator, which enables air to be separated from the liquid and sucked by a vacuum pump – making automatic priming possible. Due to the semi-open impeller, the PAS range is also suitable for pumping solids in suspension, meaning they are ideal for rental as they suit a wide variety of pump applications.

To accompany the PAS diesel pumps, Pump Power Rental have also added a selection of WEDA electric submersible pumps to their growing fleet. WEDA pumps are designed for handling liquid with abrasive particles and feature a built-in starter and motor protection system. Atlas Copco pumps are made for durability – the unique sealing system and modular design make the WEDA pumps the most flexible on the market, a factor important to Pump Power Rental.

Stuart McConaghy, Product Specialist – Pumps, at Atlas Copco Power Technique in the UK, states: “We are thrilled with the further capital investment for both the PAS Diesel range and WEDA Electric Submersible range of pumps from Pump Power Rental. These orders demonstrate the support and rapid business growth of Pump Power Rental’s UK pump division and we are proud of our committed partnership with them.”
